More on Madlyn's Florida!

This sign is in a dog park leading to the Gulf of Mexico in Venice, FL. I'm sure new visitors to the state react by either:

1. Being scared and turning back or

2. Laughing, thinking it is a joke put up by the Chamber for tourists' entertainment.

What is it actually? Well, it is a warning to watch out for alligators! When hungry, dogs look pretty good to alligators as do the people walking them. As one person was quoted as saying in the local paper "alligators have pea sized brains - they don't know the difference between what is being served and the server".

So, whether you see the sign at a golf course, dog park or road crossing - be careful.
